Full Moon Campout
S’mores and mooncakes, hiking, picnics, bunk beds, biscuits and the reunion of dear friends and the start of new friendships – just a few of highlights of the annual FCC “camping” trip. For the past three years, approximately 60 member families have gathered at Camp Harmony, located in the forest near Wrightwood in the San Bernardino Mountains. The Camp staff prepares the meals, leaving time for families to play outdoors, create crafts and relax. Away from hectic SoCal urban life, all gather to hear the tale of the Moon Goddess, enjoy mooncakes (and moon pies and yellow donut holes) and whisper messages to their ancestors beneath the moon and stars.
Orange County Region’s Autumn Moon Banquet
The annual Autumn Moon Banquet is a longstanding Orange County Region tradition. The babies who attended the first Banquet in 1996 are now teens. Gathering at a local restaurant, guests enjoy music, entertainment performances and good company.
