Families with Children from China-Southern California (FCC-SoCal) is an all-volunteer organization that promotes a nurturing, fun and enriching community that celebrates, empowers and advocates for adoptive families. Our membership includes several hundred families residing in the Greater Los Angeles area and Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
FCC-SoCal volunteers coordinate educational, cultural, peer support and social programs and services for adopted children and their families and for those in the process of adopting. Together, we share the joys and meet the challenges throughout every stage of the lifelong adoption journey. Most importantly, our daughters and sons benefit from growing up with adopted peers in an environment where multiracial, transcultural families are the norm rather than the exception, with additional support from our friends in the Asian Pacific American community.
FCC-SoCal also remains dedicated to improving the welfare of the children in China's social welfare institutions through charitable initiatives. FCC-SoCal is a California public benefit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. FCC-SoCal is part of a network of more than 100 FCC chapters nationwide and abroad.
